In Memory of David Edwards

Gridiron Hero David Edwards, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 28th 2008, a little after 1:00 P.M.

We are saddened, but take heart that David has crossed that end-zone one last time and is out of his wheelchair and in a better place.

Please keep the Edwards and Stanton Family in your Prayers.

I also ask that you keep all our Gridiron Heroes and families in your prayers.

- Eddie Canales

In Memory of David Edwards, Please Consider a Donation to the Gridiron Heroes Education Fund

Our good friend and fellow Gridiron Hero, David Edwards, was a strong proponent of education and had dreams of returning to school.

The Gridiron Heroes Education Fund provides resources to allow injured athletes to continue with their dream of attending a college to obtain a degree.

Problem: To qualify for state assistance an injured athlete must enroll for 12 full semester hours in order to pursue their dreams.  For most athletes, this is a huge obstacle due to the major health conditions associated with having a spinal cord injury.  An established educational fund would help with the continuation of these athletes’s education at pace they could handle.

Please consider a donation, in David's memory, to this important program.
