2007 Quarterback Club President / Gary De Laune extends an invitation for you to come join in to help support a great cause. Gary writes:

It’s almost time for the Kick-Off of the national sport of Texas, football. Due to popular demand by members of the San Antonio Quarterback Club, 2007 will have 13 meetings featuring some of the greatest gridiron names in Texas.

We have lined up such popular sports figures as Darrell Royal, Cody Carlson, David Bailiff, and R.C. Slocum.

There will be three summer sessions to launch this historic season. After the University of Texas luncheon on June 11th , D.W. Rutledge will headline the Bright Shawl session on June 18th .  Dennis Franchione will visit with us on July 24th and then we open the fall season with Art Briles of the University of Houston on September 11th.

All proceeds will benefit Gridiron Heroes, the organization dedicated to assisting young men who have suffered tragic spinal cord injuries while playing football.

Club Treasurer Rodney Hayden has devised a plan agreeable to the Board of Directors. If membership is paid by June 2, 2007, membership which includes the Bright Shawl lunch will be $208 for the 13 meetings. After June 2nd the price will be $234. For just the three summer sessions, the cost is $54. The ten fall meetings would then be $180.
